Catherine Rull started writing novels at 15 after learning at school that S.E. Hinton was the same age when she wrote The Outsiders.
Catherine’s debut novel, THE FAT CHICKS’ CLUB, is the 2021 Georgia RW Published Maggie Award Winner in Mainstream Fiction, and her romcom about the romance writing industry, MR. WRITE is a 2022 HOLT Medallion Finalist in Mid-Length Contemporary.
Before getting published, she was a finalist/the winner of several awards for the first manuscripts in six of her series, including the Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart® Contest, the Georgia RW’s Unpublished Maggie Award, and the Gold Ticket of Toronto RW’s Catherine Contest. She writes humorous Women’s Fiction, Romantic Comedies, Young Adult, CST and Paranormal. She is a member of the Romance Writers of Australia and the Queensland Writer’s Centre, and part of the 2012 Golden Heart® Finalists’ group, The Firebirds.
Catherine loves travelling (she’s been to 31 countries so far), superheroes, talking to herself to work out dialogue, and chatting with her fabulous critique partner, military romance author, Heather Ashby.
